And you are SOOO right that it’ll make you stronger… I look back on childhood scars and in the end I wouldn’t change it. It made me who I am today… A survivor…

Such a powerful letter, Jus! I hate that you endured that, especially that adults who were supposed to help and protect you didn’t. I’m glad to know you stood up for yourself and got away from this sadist. I’m sure your letter will provided needed hope to others enduring this same awful pain. xo

Holy sh**. I don’t want to go back and hug/befriend you, I want to go back and kick a$$es, especially the adults who ignored you and made things worse. (It would have to be the adult me time-traveling, because the teen me would never have had the ability to either befriend you properly *or* kick a$$es.) That you overcame that to be an amazing person and a gifted storyteller is a testament to your strength and courage, and I thank you for sharing it with us.
